After spending a few months over on Xanga brushing up on my posting skills (mostly working on remembering to update! Ha!), I have finally decided to open up a blog. Specifically, a knit blog. In this first entry, let me warn everyone: I don't knit nearly as fast as some of you seem to. I simply don't know where you find the time.

At present, I'm working on Ivy. For once, I'm actually using the recommended yarn and let me just say - Alpaca is the most unpleasing thing to work with. I can only hope that it's better to wear. It makes my hands sweaty and leaves little red hairs everywhere! Le sigh. I'm trying to plow through this so that I can finish the holiday gifts and guiltlessly get back to sock knitting. I did, after all, buy 7 skeins of Blue Moon sock yarn at Rhinebeck. And I'm chomping at the bit to try out the 2 circular method. So far, I've only been using DPNs, which always results in me losing at least one needle. Enough with that madness. I am, after all, someone who is vehemently against straight needles. It only makes sense to take it to the next level, and knit exclusively in circs. That's right. All circulars, all the time. Someone better go invest in Skacel.

The next post will have actual photos. It just might take me a little while to figure out this whole... photo publishing aspect on Blogger. But not long! I'm a pretty quick learner, if I do say so myself.

Stay warm, everyone!

Fondly,
-Elle
